Dr. Douglas J. Paul founded ZAPS Learning Company, aiding over 500,000 students with SAT and ACT scores, later establishing Doorway to College and leading Buckle Down Publishing Company. Originating from Kenosha, he also created the Harvest Preserve Foundation to protect land. His book "Go Figure" recounts his childhood in Kenosha and pivotal moments in Iowa City, including marriage, earning a doctorate, and leading in educational publishing. The stories in the book reflect his background and transition to volunteering at Harvest Preserve in 2004. As members of the Self-Realization Fellowship Church, Douglas and Linda have been integral to Iowa City since 1977, contemplating memory’s authenticity and offering insights into a life well-lived. |
